Leicester English Themed Pub Packs

Back on the 31st March 2009, the Steadfast Trust approved the grant of £238.26 towards the creation of English themed pub packs for the Leicester area.

These packs included…
- St George's day Quiz.
- Kids Anglo-Saxon Activity Pack's courtesy of the Anglo-Saxon foundation website.
- 'Tastes of Anglo-Saxon England' Anglo-Saxon cookbook from asbooks.co.uk
- Traditional English Folk music CD 'Folk Music of England' from thegiftofmusic.com
- A batch of English History & Identity leaflets created by the English community

A few English people in Leicester journeyed around the area finding 20 pubs interested in promoting St George’s day and offering a bit of our culture and identity to their patrons.

Many landlords were extremely welcoming and all in agreement with promoting this event, while a number also stated that they will do a collection for the Steadfast Trust on knowing that we had provided funds for this activity.
