Reach Village Fair 2009
Submitted by: Steadfast news correspondent, 4th May 09

Well done to Tim and Jana for achieving £380.50 from stall sales (and their hard work during a weekend of baking)
The village of Reach is located between Newmarket and Cambridge at the end of the ancient Anglo-Saxon English monument called Devil’s Dyke.
This small village has held a fair for over 800 years, which is opened at 12noon by the Mayor of Cambridge and attended by many hundreds of people from the surrounding area on the first Monday Bank Holiday of May.
Steadfast Trust supporters held a stall at this event, selling books, choc chip biscuits and flapjacks. The stall made £380.50 in the five hour event and was warmly received by visitors of the fair who stated that they hoped the charity would return next year.
Congratulations to Phil, Andrew and Craig for completing the 7.5 mile sponsored walk and raising over £73 for the Steadfast Trust.
On the same day three friends of the charity did a sponsored walk along the 7.5 mile Dyke earthworks, finishing in Reach. They managed to raise over £73 in sponsorship and told us how they thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
This is precisely the sort of activities that the charity needs its supporters to be involved in. not only are you helping the event, raising money for the charity, and positively promoting an English re-awakening of culture and identity, you will also enjoy yourself and experience great satisfaction in helping the cause.
