Gift Aid applications

Submitted by: Steadfast news correspondent, 15th May 09

Any charity can register for Gift Aid.

Any charity can register for Gift Aid.

Gift Aid allows individuals who are subject to UK income tax, to complete a simple, short declaration that they are a UK taxpayer. Any cash donations that the taxpayer makes to the charity after making a declaration are treated as being made after deduction of income tax at the basic rate, and the charity can reclaim the basic rate income tax paid on the gift from HMRC. So, for example, from 2009 onwards a £400 Gift Aid donation provides £500 to the Steadfast Trust.

For supporters of the Steadfast Trust to enable Gift Aid, you need to fill in a donation leaflet and tick the Gift Aid declaration box provided.

The Steadfast Trust has identified and applied for the following sums of Gift Aid.

6th April 2006 – 5th April 2007 = £31.31

6th April 2007 – 5th April 2008 = £564.66

6th April 2008 – 5th April 2009 = £619.87

Total applied Gift Aid = £1215.84

The Steadfast Trust would like to sincerely thank you for your generosity and support. As a charity we don’t pay any wages or expenses to our volunteers and every penny raised is being used to pursue projects that benefit the indigenous ethnic English people.
