Ardingly Vintage Vehicle Show 2009

Mark and Lynn setup an excellent stall

Supporters of the Steadfast Trust held a stall at the Ardingly Vintage Vehicle Show in Sussex over the 11th and 12th of July weekend.

The stall was thoroughly prepared for with an excellent range of goods including English merchandise, books, videos, t-shirts and plants. In addition to this the stall was superbly presented with flags and banners as well as English folk music playing in the background to enhance the atmosphere further.

Sadly the weather wasn’t great ranging from a steady drizzle to strong gusts, but visitors were welcomed to take shelter in the tent and view the children’s table which was setup with items of interest like rune stones, drinking horns and a seax.

Even though times are tough and the weather wasn’t great, this event raised £68 for the charity. Over 150 information packs (which included Steadfast Trust leaflets, an origins of the English’ leaflet, free white dragon sticker, etc) were given out to eager hands.

The stall was widely welcomed by the public with many appreciated comments including this one…

“Thank goodness someone is doing something for the English”
