New Trustee – Mark Taylor

New Trustee – Mark Taylor

Mark is from West Sussex and has accepted the position of Trustee to the Steadfast Trust.

His reasons for being involved in the charity are...
‘I am deeply concerned about the erosion of English cultural identity and want to engage English people to help inform them on the unique heritage that binds us together. The charity is setup to benefit the English, who are largely ignored as an ethnic group, and together we can make a positive difference.’

Mark’s interests and hobbies include Art, Literature, Music, Travel, Gardening, English Nationalism & especially early English history & culture, many of which complement the charity in its work.

Mark has been involved with the charity since the early days, and as Event Coordinator is largely responsible for the rapid increase of stalls held this year on behalf of the Steadfast Trust. He has produced educational boards highlighting aspects of English history which have been well received at events and positively answers any questions from the general public regarding the charity and its aims.

As a Trustee Mark shall carry on with the important roles he currently does, as well as attend meetings to help decide the direction and focus of the charity.

Mark has been involved in the charity for years and has been instrumental in establishing many stall events and spreading the message while raising funds for the charity. His further involvement in the charity is hugely helpful and much appreciated.

Conflicts of Interests :-
All trustees are legally bound to provide details of any conflicts of interest and ensure that they do not conflict with the roles of duties of the Trusteeship. Any conflicts that do arise will result in the trustee being removed from the decision-making process of that particular issue. For example, Trustees are not allowed to decide on issues that can result in their financial gain and so must declare any conflict that may appear. Trustees are unpaid for work they do on behalf of the charity.

‘Mark is a Recruitment Consultant’

The charity sees no conflict of interest in Mark’s work activities, and in fact recognises that his skills will help the charity in identifying the right people in helping to progress the charity.
