West Brom St George Parade 2010

Once again the Sandwell St George Parade was a great success

Sadly for the second time running the local council was unwilling to provide the approximate £10,000 needed to fund the safety of what is possibly the largest St George Day parade in England.

Once again the organisers of the event required help in financing the parade and the Steadfast Trust is proud to announce that the charity contributed £2,000 towards this year’s event.

Therefore on Sunday 25th April around 20,000 people paraded through West Bromwich to Dartmouth Park lead by a knight on a white horse. Events such as brass bands and ‘Punch and Judy’ shows all added to a fantastic atmosphere.

This is a great bringing together of the English community and is becoming steadily more and more organised and the Steadfast Trust is proud to help out where it can.
