Trustee Appointed: Tim Hawke

New Trustee – Tim Hawke

Tim is from Suffolk and has accepted the position of Trustee to the Steadfast Trust.

His reasons for being involved in the charity are...
‘As a young lad I felt very de-culturalised with schools teaching me Egyptian, Native American and British history. English history was entirely ignored yet as I have grown I have learnt much on the origins of our people and hope that the charity can at least help to enlighten our children of their unique heritage.’

Tim’s interests and hobbies include Reading, Walks, Community work, English Nationalism and organising / campaign activities.

Tim has been involved with the charity for a number of years, and has helped organise and run events from stalls to sponsor walks, chaired charity meetings, as well as update news items on the charity website. He intends on being further involved in the grant giving activities of the Steadfast Trust.

As a Trustee Tim shall carry on with the necessary roles he currently does, as well as run the Grants Dept that is to be shortly established.

Tim has been very active within the charity for some time and we are delighted that he has accepted this position as a Trustee, and with his involvement we will be able to improve our grant giving activities and publish these far more regularly.

Conflicts of Interests:-
All trustees are legally bound to provide details of any conflicts of interest and ensure that they do not conflict with the roles of duties of the Trusteeship. Any conflicts that do arise will result in the trustee being removed from the decision-making process of that particular issue. For example, Trustees are not allowed to decide on issues that can result in their financial gain and so must declare any conflict that may appear. Trustees are unpaid for work they do on behalf of the charity.
