Two Trustees of the Steadfast Trust held a stall at the Ardingly Vintage Vehicle Show in Sussex over the 10th and 11th of July weekend.

This was the charities third visit to the show, which is always a lively and interesting place with thousands of visitors, many of whom are family groups.

We were able to talk to a large number of new people and some familiar faces, and I spoke to one gentleman who was so pleased with what the charity is doing he took away an application form and will hopefully soon become a paid up member!

The response this year was 100% positive regarding the charity's aims and a big "thank you!" goes out to Graham, Steven and Donald, who are supporters who came specially to meet us at the stall and made generous donations too.

Sales this year included a new Steadfast 'branded' look with the unique white dragon logo appearing in hand engraved glassware from one of our English craft suppliers. This new line sold well with over £20 made on the recently commissioned glass beer tankards and tumblers. Book sales were encouraging and the Agapanthus plants raised over £50. The majority of all the goods sold are now made or crafted in England, and therefore help the English community twice over, by bringing much needed trade to craftsmen and women in addition to making a small profit for the charity.

Saturday was incredibly hot and this seems to have affected sales, but on Sunday after heavy fog had lifted we forged ahead with book and plant sales and eventually had a worthwhile £146 to add to Steadfast's funds at the end of an enjoyable weekend.
